Isto levou \u00e1 creaci\u00f3n de cidades onde os seus habitantes son case por completo dependentes do autom\u00f3bil.<br \/>\nComo consecuencia disto, as cidades convert\u00e9ronse en lugares desiguais, segregadores, host\u00eds, perigosos e ins\u00e1ns.<br \/>\nAdemais, o uso masivo do veh\u00edculo privado favorece en gran medida o cambio clim\u00e1tico, ao ser o transporte una das principais fontes de emisi\u00f3ns de CO2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eliminando o tr\u00e1fico de paso dentro das supermaz\u00e1s, sendo ese espazo interior de preferencia peonil, coexistindo con veh\u00edculos de residentes e de servizo. A velocidade dos veh\u00edculos ad\u00e1ptase \u00e1 do pe\u00f3n (10 km\/ h).<br \/>\nEsta medida est\u00e1 condicionada por completo \u00e1 xerarquizaci\u00f3n previa do viario da cidade. Sen esa xerarquizaci\u00f3n \u00e9 imposible adoptala.<br \/>\nExisten m\u00faltiples manuais, gu\u00edas e recomendaci\u00f3ns que presentan soluci\u00f3ns para conseguir un espazo p\u00fablico onde o autom\u00f3bil perde protagonismo (algunhas delas incl\u00faense no apartado de bibliograf\u00eda). A pesar de que cada cidade ten as s\u00faas particularidades, a premisa b\u00e1sica en todas elas \u00e1 hora de abordar este tema debe ser a de po\u00f1er \u00e1s persoas, a s\u00faa seguridade e a s\u00faa sa\u00fade no centro de todas as decisi\u00f3ns. \/>\n\u2022 Continuidade das beirarr\u00faas sobre as calzadas<br \/>\n\u2022 Intersecci\u00f3ns elevadas<br \/>\n\u2022 Redutores de velocidade<br \/>\n\u2022 Reduci\u00f3n do ancho de calzada<br \/>\n\u2022 Estreitamentos<br \/>\n\u2022 Uso de xardineiras ou alcorques para crear sensaci\u00f3n de estreiteza<br \/>\n\u2022 Introducir zonas verdes lineais en
