Next Thursday, November 8, Vegadeo (Asturias) will host the course “Local Administration, Green Infrastructures in Urban Environments and Protected Areas ” organized by the CEIDA, the Center for University Extension and Environmental Dissemination of Galicia with the support of Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica, Fundación Biodiversidad, Programa EmpleaVerde and the European Union via European Social Funds

This course, taught since the beginning of September in a telematic way, has a face-to-face training session and aims to train the active people of the Principado de Asturias in the field of green infrastructure and biodiversity management in urban areas , as well as in protected natural areas and in the management of the Red Natura 2000, always from a local point of view. The course is aimed especially at the municipal services staff, consultancy workers and environmental services companies and is available to all people interested in the subject (if the availability of places allows it).

The day will be held throughout the Thursday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and during the same day different examples of success in ecological urban management will be presented. In the morning session, LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico will have an exhibition, given by Susana Penedo, municipal architect of the Concello de Lugo and Esther Fernández, of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, where the project and the different actions that are being carried out from it will be presented to transform Lugo into a greener city.
