BUILDING SUSTAINABLE CITIES

Meeting of cities and climate action projects in urban environments

LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico is a European project promoted by the Council of Lugo, a pioneer in eco-sustainable planning in medium-sized cities, which takes advantage of the use of its own natural resources and promotes the green economy.
Among the actions developed are the construction of the first public building made of Galician wood, the design of the first Multi-ecological Neighborhood in Spain and the preparation of a catalog of solutions of urban design, demonstrative actions that can be exported to other European cities. It also includes the creation of informative spaces for the scientific community and main society, with the creation of an urban forest in which native tree species and shrubs stand out, showing their potential use for the development of sustainable urban action against climate change.

This meeting will be held at the Centro Cultural O Vello Cárcere of Lugo in a hybrid format (online and in-person). In-person capacity is limited to 75 people.
