The planning project for the Multiecological Neighborhood of LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico has been awarded the second prize of the IX edition of the Contest of Good Local Practices for the Climate, organized by the Spanish Network of Cities for the Climate, integrated in the FEMP.

LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico has been awarded in this contest in the category “Adaptation to climate change”. This is the second consecutive occasion in which the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces recognizes the work that the project is developing. In 2021 the LIFE project received the Award for Good Local Practices for Biodiversity for the recovery of the As Gándaras wetland. On that occasion, the recovery of the riparian forest, one of the great natural heritages of Lugo, won second prize in the Water Environment category.

The award will be presented to the City Council of Lugo during an act that will take place within the framework of the General Assembly of the Spanish Network of Cities for the Climate to be held in Malaga on September 23.
