The II Xornadas de Urbanismo de Sarria, Planifik, held this past weekend, had the project LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico as one of its main protagonists.

During the meeting topics such as town planning, sustainability and environmentally-friendly integration with the urban landscape were discussed, always from the point of view and the experience of various Galician municipalities. Thus, on Friday analyzed urban models such as Allariz and Carballo, and on Saturday came the turn of Lugo. The municipal architect of the municipality of Lugo, Susana Penedo, and the manager of the project LIFE Lugo + Biodynamic , Boris Hinojo, presented and analyzed in detail the LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico project, revealing both the actions that have already have been implemented and are currently being developed, and all those planned until 2020, the project’s end date.

Both explained during their speeches that the objective of this project, presented at the conference “Sementando cidades sostibles” is to transform Lugo and its surroundings into a model of a city resilient to climate change that can be exported and implemented in other cities at European level. The project had a great reception from the public and professionals who gather there, both in the presentation conference and in the round table that was held below.
