This past Wednesday, April 29, an online conversation took place organized by the UPM, partner university of LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico, within its cycle “El día después será…” in which the mayor of Lugo, Lara Méndez, has participated.

In this conversation, different mayors, mayors and councilors from all the autonomous communities have analyzed and exposed the solutions that each city will develop in response to to the crisis of COVID-19, always aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This digital meeting, moderated by TVE journalist Carlos Franganillo, has brought together mayors from cities such as Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza or Valencia, in addition to Lara Méndez. The mayor has explained the stage for the next weeks, months and years in the city of Lugo, using as an example the urban village strategy as a place of coexistence in balance between people and their environment. In her presentation, she highlighted the importance for the recovery of the city and the commitment to a more sustainable future, the project of the Multiecological Neighborhood of LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico, which will be built in As Gándaras.
