The center Europe Direct Lugo hosted this past Thursday the 16th the conference “Urban gardens and organic agriculture, Lugo facing a more sustainable diet“.

The talks were given by Carlos Brea Pallares, agricultural engineer and Master in Quality and Environment, who spoke about the mportance of caring for orchards and gardens for the improvement of the product and the the quality of life of the people who consume it, and Luis Ruiz García, professor at the Higher Technical School of Agronomic, Food and Biosystems Engineering and head of the LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico project at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), which highlighted the work of this project in incorporating organic farming, urban gardens and the knowledge extracted from them within the Multiecological Neighbourhood.
