The LIFE Lugo + Biodinámico project is starting to bear fruit, in its most literal sense.

Researchers from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, a partner in the project, have been able to verify over these days how the chestnut plantation that stands in the neighborhood of As Gándaras has started producing husks and chestnuts. This plantation, contemplated in the Project Implementation Actions-C6- contains a representation of Galician chestnut varieties recommended for the region (Parede, Garrida, Ventura, Negral and Branca) occupying more than 3 hectares of land.
This space aims to function as a reservoir of indigenous resources and be used for teaching purposes.
